Its percentage is selected depending on:

- The sex of the patient - men are usually prescribed anti-baldness with 5% minoxidil (Rogaine 5), women are reduced to 2% (Rogaine 2);

- Form release - instead of the drug in a liquid form with 2% minoxidil content (Rogaine 2), women can use foam with 5% concentration of active substance (Rogaine 5), using it 2 times less often;

- Degree of alopecia - in the initial stages, men are usually prescribed 5% minoxidil, and when alopecia is started, the concentration can be increased to 10-12% or 15-16%.

According to the Norwood-Hamilton classification, several stages of AHA are distinguished:

- 1, 2 stages - excessive hair loss occurs in the forehead and temples, bald patches are formed;
